Achimed® Achilles tendon support with 3D silicone metatarsal pad

Achimed is a support for compressing and relieving the Achilles tendon and the surrounding tissue. It is made from a comfort knitted fabric with a higher transverse and longitudinal stretch that allows an extended relief zone in the instep area. The stretch zone at the upper edge also makes it easier to put on. The two-part and enlarged 3D silicone pad provides a gentle massage effect without putting pressure on the Achilles tendon.  

The enclosed wedges can be used to raise the heel, which can provide pleasant relief for acute Achilles tendinitis. 

The Achilles tendon support is used when soft tissue compression with local pressure pads is required on the Achilles tendon, such as with 

• Acute and chronic Achilles tendon inflammation 
• Pain in the distal area of the Achilles tendon (Achillodynia) 
• Bursitis of the Achilles tendon (Achillobursitis)

Patients with a high instep in particular benefit from the Achimed's relief zone, which provides a comfortable fit in the sensitive instep area. The innovative knitted shape ensures a more precise fit thanks to the 90-degree angle, emphasised arch and extended underfoot. At the same time, the compressive knitted fabric (CCL II) stabilises and relieves pressure on the joint. The support can also improve the body's own perception (proprioception). 

The Clima Comfort* technology immediately wicks moisture away from the surface of the skin - for a pleasantly dry feeling when wearing the Achilles tendon support. The fibre combination of high-tech fibres and natural eucalyptus fibres ensures high breathability and is gentle on the skin. The enclosed balloon silk donning aid makes it easier for users to put on the Achilles tendon support. 

The integrated Clima Fresh function has an odour-inhibiting effect. This is achieved through special thread technology in the production process.
