Introducing the insole (foot support) orthotics range from medi UK

Foot orthotics, such as medi® insoles / foot Supports offer effective treatment for many conditions including:

  • Flat feet
  • High arches
  • Plantar Fasciitis
  • Knee and hip pain
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Lower back pain
  • Pressure sensitive feet

How do medi® insoles / foot supports work?

The body works together as a chain of muscles, ligaments and bones. When one section is misaligned, it can affect other areas of the body too. Correct insoles have been shown to re-align/re-distribute the foot posture which has positive effects on knees, hips and even the lower back/spine.

Why choose medi® insoles / foot supports?

Each of the medi® insoles/foot supports are made up from several layers each designed, engineered, and manufactured in Germany to treat individual conditions. Attention to detail is second to none. As you can see from the video, each foot support is engineered with hand-crafted quality material using the latest manufacturing technology.

Q&As

What is the Shore 'A' Durometer Hardness Scale and what's the relevance?
This Shore 'A' Durometer Hardness Scale establishes the degree of hardness of a material and is measured by a Shore Durometer. The Shore Hardness Scale is used to measure and classify the hardness/support of each of the layers used to make up our new range of insoles/foot supports.

When it comes to insoles - are softer insoles better?
Completely soft insoles are ineffective. medi® insoles provide a mix of supportive/harder layers and softer layers which work together to distribute the pressure of your feet whilst helping to correct your posture.

Do different insoles suit different shoe styles?
Yes, at medi, we offer insoles for different shoe styles such as ladies’ slip-on shoes, children’s shoes, leisure shoes, trainers, men’s business shoes and so on.

Should I remove my existing shoe’s inlay before putting in new medi® insoles?
It is recommended to remove your shoe’s inlay before inserting your new medi® insoles or your footwear will feel too tight and uncomfortable.

How do insoles help with pain?
The body works together as a chain of muscles, ligaments and bones. When one section is misaligned, it can affect other areas too. Correct insoles have been shown to re-align the foot posture which has positive effects on knees, hips and even the lower back/spine.

Can I move my insoles from one pair of shoes to another?
We recommend that the shoes you wear the most often have their own dedicated insoles to see the true effect of retraining your foot muscles, tendons and bones.

Please note the above descriptions are recommendations and do not replace a doctor’s or clinician's diagnosis or professional advice.
