Back orthosis for vertebral extension in osteoporosis and strengthening of the core musculature
Spinomed active men is a back brace. The product is exclusively to be used for the orthotic fitting of the spine and only on intact skin.
The integrated straps (pelvic strap/ shoulder strap) use the biofeedback principle to straighten up the spine; this activates the muscles of the trunk and helps to straighten the rounded back that is associated with osteoporosis. As your muscles grow stronger you become more mobile and pain is reduced.
Open the zip and unfasten the hooks.
Put the corset on and fasten the hooks; then do up the zip.
If required you can adjust the hooks at the groin in three stages.
Slide the rod that your orthotist preshaped for you into the pocket provided at the back of the brace. Make sure that the ribs are facing outwards, and the narrower end is at the top.
During the familiarisation phase and to gradually restore the back muscles the time spent wearing Spinomed active should be increased gradually. Depending on the physical condition, 30 minutes uninterrupted wearing may be sufficient at the beginning. The wearing time can be increased step by step during the course of treatment. Your acceptance and co-operation play an important part in treatment with Spinomed active. If any problems arise please talk to your doctor or orthotist. He may be able to adjust the brace. Please follow your doctor’s instructions exactly to ensure the success of this course of therapy.
