MESI mTABLET is a unique healthcare solution integrating wireless diagnostic modules, patient records and medical apps in one system. The tablet itself is specifically designed for use in medical environments and thus different to consumers tablets. There are different diagnostic modules available which can be added according to practice´s needs. The portable hand-held modules are wirelessly connected to the tablet via Bluetooth.
All measurements and patient data are stored and synchronised with the built-in medical record MESI mRECORDS. Furthermore professional medical applications are available and enhance diagnostic possibilities and expand the potential of primary care examination.

Intended purpose

The MESI mTABLET is a handheld medical grade tablet unit and a MESI mTABLET docking station with access point. It is a mobile computing platform intended to be used solely in a professional clinical environment by trained healthcare personnel. MESI mTABLET is designed to connect patients, measurements, medical applications and medical personnel within one ecosystem. MESI mTABLET UNIT is intended to be used either as a standalone solution with a variety of different software or with diagnostic modules. It is intended to be used by medical personnel in a clinical environment. The expected user can use and knows how to operate smart phones or tablet computers. The device can be recharged through AC/DC power supply.

MESI mTABLET ABI module

The MESI mTABLET ABI is an automated wireless ankle-brachial index measuring system for screening patients for Peripheral Arterial Disease / Lower Extremity Arterial Disease (PAD/LEAD). The system is intended to perform (and make viewable and storable) adult ankle-brachial index (ABI) measurement. It is a wireless system which is comprised of a wireless medical tablet system, four tubeless blood pressure cuff modules and a 4-port charging station module. MESI mTABLET ABI is intended to be used solely in a professional healthcare environment by trained healthcare personnel who can correctly place blood pressure cuffs on a patient’s body, verify that these cuffs are inflating or deflating normally and start the measurement process.  MESI mTABLET ABI is intended to measure the Ankle-Brachial Index by using a type of oscillometric method plethysmography. The Ankle-Brachial Index result (along with blood pressure. Values used in calculating the ABI), pulse wave and oscillation Graph are captured and displayed as a numerical and graphical representation on the MESI mTABLETUNIT. With standard software, the MESI mTABLET ABI supports an automatic two-step measurement of systolic, diastolic and mean arterial blood pressure on both upper arm and ankle locations. The first part of the measurement performs a dual arm blood pressure measurement while the second part of the measurement performs a simultaneous ABI measurement considering the higher of the two arm blood pressures and both ankle blood pressures. The device is recharged through the AC/DC power supply, however, the MESI mTABLET ABI is not intended to be used while connected to mains electricity.

MESI mTABLET ECG module

The MESI mTABLET ECG is a wireless 12-lead resting ECG system for screening cardiac abnormalities. System is intended for acquiring, viewing and storing signals from adult and paediatric patients. It is a wireless system which is comprised of wireless medical tablet system, 12-lead ecg  diagnostic module and a 4-port charging station module. MESI mTABLET ECG is intended to be used soley in a professional clinical environment by trained healthcare personnel who are able to place electrodes on the patient body, as well as able to verify that these connections are correct and start the recording process. MESI mTABLET ECG is intended to measure hearth activity by ten electrodes placed on patient body which measure miniscule electrical activity generated by heart muscle depolarizations. This activity is captured and displayed a graphical representation on MESI mTABLET. With the standard software, the MESI mTABLET ECG supports acquisition of 10 seconds signal or manual mode with acquisition up to 5 minutes.  The MESI mTABLET ECG provides analytical statements (Glasgow algorithm for automatic interpretation) which are not intended to constitute professional advice, diagnosis or treatment, or substitute for professional judgment. The device is recharged through AC/DC power supply, however, the ECG is not intended to be used while connected to mains electricity.

The MESI mTABLET SPO2 is a wireless pulse oximeter system for screening, diagnosing or monitoring acute respiratory or heart illness. System is intended for acquiring, viewing and storing measurements from adult and paediatric patients. It is a wireless system which is comprised of wireless medical tablet system, pulse oximeter diagnostic module and a 4-port charging station module. MESI mTABLET SPO2 is intended to be used solely in a professional clinical environment by trained healthcare personnel which understand the principle of oximetry and able to place the sensor on the patient body. MESI mTABLET SPO2 is intended to measure functional oxygen saturation of haemoglobin in arterial blood by measuring differential absorption of infrared and red light by oxygenated and deoxygenated haemoglobin. This is captured and displayed as a numerical and graphical representation on MESI mTABLET UNIT. With the standard software, the MESI mTABLET SPO2 displays simultaneously oxygen saturation and heart rate. The device is recharged through AC/DC power supply; however, the device is not intended to be used while connected to mains electricity.
