Wrap version:
Open all the straps so that they will not interfere with you putting on the brace.
Now put your leg into a 30-degree angle flexion position and pull the brace up over your leg.
Make sure that the kneecap is positioned centrally in the space for the patella. Position the brace so that the middles of the hinges are level with the upper border of the kneecap and just behind the lateral centre line of the leg.
Now close the straps in the following order:
- Lower calf strap in the back.
- Lower thigh strap in the back.
- Patellar straps so that the kneecap is guided from the outside to the inside. Please ensure that the patellar air cushion is positioned to the side of the kneecap and that it does not push onto the kneecap from the front.
- Upper thigh strap in the back.
- Thigh strap in the front.
- Calf strap in the front.
If possible, walk a few steps in order to check that the brace is in the correct position. Please adjust the position as required.
