Why don't medi's thigh-length medical thrombosis prophylaxis stockings and anti-embolism garments come in different lengths?
medi produces the stockings by the two-way stretch knitting technique. This somewhat complex technology, which is also used for medical compression garments, enables the stocking to stretch along its length without altering the circular pressure (i.e. the medically necessary compression pressure and pressure gradient).
This longitudinal stretch enables us to reliably cater for different leg lengths therefore we do not need to manufacture a range of different stocking lengths.
