Feedback From...

In this section you can read and listen feedback from people living with knee OA who have been prescribed the medi Soft OA Light knee brace by their GP:

  • Amanda's knee problems started 16 years ago when she snapped her cruciate ligament and is waiting for a knee replacement. Wearing the medi Soft OA Light knee brace gave Amanda confidence and support and, whilst it hasn't taken away all of her pain, it has made it bearable.  Read Amanda's story here below.
  • Alison won't let her knee OA stop her from doing everything she loves. The brace has helped her to keep going with her favourite past time - playing golf and has ensured that she remains as active as possible, especially when she's looking after the grand children.
  • Darren was a very active sportsman who played rugby from the age of 7 and had to give up playing rugby when he was 30 due to injuries. When Darren received his medi Soft OA Light knee brace he went from not knowing what to do, to being able to function pretty much daily. It was a step change from being 'I can hardly walk' to getting my mobility back. Listen to Darren's story below.

Darren's story:

What is osteoarthritis (OA)?

Knee Osteoarthritis is wear and tear of the cartilage that cushions the ends of the bones in the knee joint. Overtime, the cartilage gradually deteriorates and causes the joints to become painful and still. The knees often become mal-aligned which can cause a valgus or varus deformity (knock-knee or bow leg).
