Training from level 1 to level 3
Level 1
- Product training - the "what, when and how" of using medi products.
Level 2
- Competent fitting of compression garments from 2 hours to whole study day, measuring and fitting from whole product range or as appropriate to the group e.g. appliance officers, orthotists, nurse/physio/OT (can include patient selection, monitoring and audit)
- Basic Made to Measure Compression Garments - Basic course (Half day for arms and legs, whole day for all MTM products) +/- Circaid range
- Juxtafit and Circaid workshops: standard and custom made (approx. 1 hour can be added to other sessions).
Level 3
- Masterclass in Made to Measure Compression Garments (Half day of problem solving and case studies in Upper or Lower limb; or whole day for all MTM products) Including new Thorax flat knit garment.
- Leg ulcer management study day (including developments in compression garments) done in collaboration with local expertise - aimed at practising Leg Ulcer nurses.
- Leg ulcer management masterclass: workshop in compression garments for complex patients minimum 2 hours.
- Vascular study day: Done in collaboration with local expertise and can include a selection from management of chronic venous insufficiency, varicose veins and sclerotherapy, DVT prophylaxis, post-thrombotic syndrome, chronic oedema/lymphoedema.
- Managing lymphoedema (day course) - a mixture of pathology and managment in a case study approach set at level of attendees - Student to Master level.
- Service Development - usually 1:1 on auditing patients or the service, developing a business care or strategy
