Indications
- reconstruction after rotator cuff ruptures
- immobilisation after shoulder prosthesis implantation
- conservative or post-operative treatment after subacromial bursitis
- partial ruptures of the rotator cuff
- after acromioplasty
- relaxation of the ventral limbus and of the capsule components after open and arthroscopic shoulder stabilisation
- conservative immobilisation of shoulder luxations/dislocations
Mode of action
- lateral positioning with anatomically shaped and fitted cushion to relieve the ventral limbus and the capsule
- 30° or 45° abduction position to avoid adhesions to the axillary recess (frozen shoulder)
- secure fixation of the shoulder joint with additional upper arm pad
- post-operative, active and passive mobilisation of hand, wrist and elbow joint
- early functional after care; enhances post-operative physiotherapy
